What a site and what a sight! The Indy-car motor speedway on the scenic Vancouver waterfront provided a perfect place on June 22-24, 2001 to school oneself in the finer points of going faster than the dickens on inline skates! Canadians have a special brand of skate mojo and it showed. Whether you were happy enough to scream at the top of your lungs while wiggling your tongue in your mouth, or just jumped out of your skin with joy at putting it all together. Local Lorne Milne made sure everything ran smoothly in the pits. While dragon boats battled for primacy on the water, skaters raced like primates, sitting ever lower for longer pushes and more speed. Don't wait for a workshop to see Vancouver on skates! Put it above the top of your list! While the weather is benificent, there is no place like Vangroovy. The place just pulsates like no other skate spot in the Northern Hemisphere! Who could forget how TWINCAM bearings, Explore wheels, Salomon, Transpack, Wigwam, and Raymond Verdaguer spoiled participants with great gobs of goodies? Thanks! skatecentral |
