There was so much spunk in Seattle skaters that you didn't need to grind any beans to get the jumpy effect at the Eddy Matzger Workshop in Seattle, WA, July 23-25, 2004.

"I finally got something!"gleefully proclaimed one skater on Saturday morning after discovering the power of the heel carve. She was to experience many more such epiphanies before the weekend workshop was finished.

Sleepless in Seattle? The Friday social skate and orientation talk got people so pumped that skaters had a hard time falling asleep that night. Saturday skaters warmed up thoroughly before putting on skates and diving in to the workshop.

From start to finish, skaters had a chance to shine. They were filmed starting, getting up to speed, and hawking the line! That evening workshop participants provided their own entertainment as they watched themselves in slow motion and frame by frame putting all the theory into practice.

By the time Sunday was said and done, skaters had acquired a full repertoire of crossover and double push moves to complement their refined straightaways from Saturday.

TWINCAM, Wigwam, Transpack, Sue, Ken and Crystal, Bobward, and Mike all deserved major gratitude for helping make the 10 year anniversary tour such a huge heap of good times.
