The Eddy Matzger Workshop, March 11-13, 2005, in Greensboro, NC, made history as the first workshop where not a single participant attended from the host city!

Even if attendance was on the light side, participation and enthusiasm was absolutely unlimited. People came to learn, and were thrilled to have their coach nearly all to themselves for over 20 hours of instruction.

Even though the mercury dipped to 35 degrees at the start of Saturday's session, the vigorous nature of the workshop kept everybody sufficiently toasty until the sun warmed things up into the balmy 60's.

In fact, the worskhop defied the forecast all weekend long, trading the predicted cold snap and precipitation for pleasant temperatures and blue skies, which had a way of enhancing the learning process.

Gifted students achieved stellar results and each left their mark on the Greensboro skating scene, whose rich skating history just got richer. TWINCAM, Transpack, Zephyr, Blake, Elizabeth, Mark, Craig, Bobward, and Mike the workshop monkey all made contributions beyond compare. Gratitude to all!
