Mile-high skaters got even higher up on Thunder Ridge for the Access to Speed Workshop in Denver, CO. Each participant was stunned by the lifetime of information dispensed over the course of the weekend. Everybody was hit with a new skating consciosness as if by lightning. Brave indoor souls ventured out and ate up the outdoor scene with gusto. Many were ravished to be presented with so many helpful new drills and couldn't wait to bring them back to the rink and show them off to their friends. Young Katelin and Jeremy took everybody's collective breath away with their tremendous apititude and promise. Both went from 0 to 60 by learning the double push lickety split and making it really work for them. Workshoppers were fantastically impressed by the way they could break the double push down into it's basic parts and then put it back together in a way that gave them greater propulsion. Andy Lundstrom from Xenan and amazing Doug, ever the technicians, especially benefitted from the step by step workshop method of breaking down and re-assembling an effective double push stroke. Charlie from SWAT skates helped bring skaters to a new level by helping organize the workshop. Sponsors Salomon, TWINCAM, Explore, Transpack, and Wigwam gave everybody massive headrushes of happiness by loading them up with goodies galore. And the presence of Bobward graced the proceedings! Thanks Bobward! News Home |
