 Voracious learners carved up the Warren Building parking deck (thanks Stuart and Carol and Krista) with a gold mine of new techniques that rocketed skaters to new spheres of poise and proficency in only a weekend's time. Sponge-like in soaking information in and puppy-like in eagerness to do, discriminating workshop participants had many cool things to say after all the learning and doing was done. "I was actually kind of bored with skating before the workshop," said one, "and now I have a lifetime of great stuff to work on!" "I was amazed at your ability to break things down to the basics and put the entire picture together in such a sophisticated manner," wrote another. "I was so happy you were just a normal guy," said yet another. True spirit abounded. The group was able to find the right balance between cheerleading and serious effort, thus encouraging dynamic development as individuals and as a team.
