Leave it to Gordon, the ultimate skate cowboy, to round up enough skaters to fill the stockyard with skaters at the Texas state fairgrounds for an Eddy Matzger Workshop.

John of ECI Video spoiled the workshop by allowing an invasion of his world class facility for large-screen viewing of videos on Friday and Saturday night, making everybody feel like a movie star.

Skaters came from Oklahoma, Georgia, Wisconsin, and distant points in the great state of Texas to soak in the workshop aura, which shone brightly in spite of a rain cloud which seemed to just park over Fair Park.

Everybody was so engrossed by all the challenges issued by Eddy that they forgot about being penned up indoors until the sun busted a move on Sunday and caused a stampede to the great outdoors for more learning and fun.

Let it be a lesson to all: outdoor skaters become better skaters by practicing indoors, and indoor skaters become invincible when they finally get out. Let the workshop lead the charge!

TWINCAM, Transpack, Zephyr, Gordon and Sam, Bobward, and Mike the workshop monkey all contributed to another spectacular weekend of skating, learning, and bonding. Thanks for making everybody feel so special!
