Ever wonder what a skater with a 15-gallon heart looks like? Wonder no more! A whole lot of them opened their ventricles and pumped it up big time at the Access to Speed Workshop at the Dallas State Fairgrounds in Dallas, Texas, April 26-28, 2002.

It started cool with the classic stuff on Saturday and finished with the steamy double push and real live racing on Sunday.

Nothing could stop the workshop from beating strongly. Not heat nor fatigue, running out of gas or shotgun blasts, not even a bunch of golf-cart joyriding kids! The show just kept going on. And what a show!

Canadians graced the group with their skill and goodness, and Carvin' Marvin showed he had a bigger heart than than skaters four times his size. Everyone had so much love of skating coursing through their veins.

Naturally it was painful at times, certainly at the end when it was time to go just as so many strong bonds had been made.

Jim and Gordon were instrumental in spreading the good vibe and warming up the hotseat at a house fully wired. Salomon skates, TWINCAM bearings, Explore wheels, Wigwam socks, Transpack, Raymond Verdaguer designs, and Bobward Flynn all contributed to give each skater a Texas-size heaping of goodies!
