A decade of pain and fun wrapped up into one weekend? That pretty much sums up the 10 year anniversary of the Eddy Matzger Workshop, Februdary 25-27, 2005, in Clearwater, FL.

If skaters were sore after two days of intense work, then blame it two fall guys, Bob Flynn and Victor Crichton. It was their bright idea to start the workshops 10 years ago.

The 10th anniversary workshop went off with quite a bang. We're not talking fireworks here, we're referring to claps of thunder and rain! Sunday morning's monsoon forced participants to undergo four hours of grueling dryland skating underneath a picnic shelter.

By Sunday afternoon, just when some were so sore they wished for a biblical flood to carry them away, the sun pierced the clouds and the pavement dried like a bone, allowing the wheeled torture to continue.

Was the anguish worth it? You bet! Everybody promised to eventually forget the hurt and remember the fun, and vowed to be back for the 20th anniversary workshop in 20015! TWINCAM, Transpack, Janice, Bobward, and Mike the workshop monkey all dedicated inordinate amounts of time to make the workshop at smash hit. Thanks!
