Recently voted one of the best cities for skating in the USA, the united state of skating flourished April 1-3, 2005, in Austin, TX. Perfectly timed with the wildflowers of spring, skaters from inside burst out, and with dedicated practice everyone's technique and speed flourished.

Chalk got laid down at record pace, which skaters with their monstrous heel carves tried to erase. Soon everybody was propelling themselves across the asphalt like wheeled tracer rockets.

Dryland exercises helped skaters get the hang of what to expect later. When the toy coaster vehicles were under the feet instead of shoes, pivoting and honking all seemed so much more familiar.

"I should have taken this class a long time ago!" said one fired-up skater. "Too much volume of information," said another while bringing his thumb to his head, "it's starting to all leak out."

Thanks to Floyd and Nancy, Austin scored a workshop at the perfect time of year. Weather with spring freshness with skaters emerging from winter hungry to stock up on training tips to kick start a great season in 2005.

TWINCAM, Transpack, Zephyr, the Daley-Crawford team, Bobward, and Mike the workshop monkey all pulled off another humdinger. Without your efforts the workshop would have been lost in Austin!
