A special breed of appreciative skaters came out to have a hoot and improve at the ILQ Eddy Matzger Workshop, March 21-23, 2003, in Austin, TX. "Way more than I ever expected," said one. "It's amazing how can feel the difference already," said another. "Thank you for spending so much time with each of us personally," commented a third. "I didn't think it possible but I just got 400 percent better!" exclaimed a fourth.

The area's high tech bust became a boon for skaters, who were able to take over a beautiful vacant parking structure during Saturday's day of wetness. By the afternoon, though, skies cleared and workshoppers were ripping around on the upper deck.

By Sunday, the skate Gods were really smiling, and the workshop was held on the gridiron of the local high school marching band practice facility. There, skaters worked diligently on drills and maneuvers whose precision of execution shocked and awed the instructor.

Each person must have burned at least 6,000 calories on their way to matriculating from the workshop. The gang grouped up at Patricia's house and reloaded with pizza and salad while being entertained and analyzed on the big screen.

Skaters worked hard on getting ready for the big Disney marathon by working hard on team tactics. They grouped in threes and skated in 2 on 1 situations to simulate all the possible combinations that could occur during the race

Skater treats included TWINCAM ILQ-9's, Wigwam socks, Explore race wheels, blinkie lights, workshop shirts, and Transpack goodies. Thanks!
