Skaters in Lance's country were a hardy lot for the first really baking workshop of the year. Physical and chemical reactions were numerous as participants cooked up new skating masterpieces and increased seratonin levels in their brains.

A mixed lot met met in a paved lot for two action-packed days of instruction. Indoor skaters and outdoor skaters, younger and older skaters, inline and quad skaters-- all pored over the course material until they poured with sweat.

Aside from all the serious skating, skaters also managed to enjoy many moments of levity. For example, one skater celebrated his birthday by crawling through a spanking tunnel while all the others got a piece of the action.

Participants were gushing with excitement after the weekend. Wrote one: "Thanks again for conducting the workshop down here in Austin! Everyone has been really stoked! I can't believe how much improvement I made from last year and how much more I learned! I'll have a full-fledged double pushbefore ya know it! I can feel it in my bones! I am so pumped, excited, fired up!"

Wrote another: "I really enjoyed seeing y'alls this past weekend! The clinic was great and whizzed by so fast; now it's up to us to apply what we have seen and learned! I saw it, but I still don't believe it; Eddy is amazing and so inspiring! Information overload for me right now!

As if information overload isn't enough, skaters were also confronted by product sponsorship overload, receiving marvelous product from Access to Speed sponsors Salomon, TWINCAM, Explore, Transpack, Wigwam, PowerBar and Bobward Flynn.
