Team spirit abounded at the Atlanta Access to speed workshop. Speed and fitness hounds worked tirelessly in packs, barking encouragement to eachother and moving strongly en masse towards a common goal: raising their skating to new levels of proficency and enjoyment. The mix of talent lent a dynamic, colorful feel to the learning experience. Old dogs learning new tricks lent a protective paw to fresh puppies, showing them the fundamental things.

Every dog was heard howling with pleasure and pain at some point or another during the weekend. Whether it was wincing with effort at the sled-dog crossover mush or slack-jawed with delight from the joy of unearthing a revelatory bone of knowledge, each and every canine sunk their teeth into the Access to Speed workshop like it was fresh game.

Workshop hosts Paul Kennedy and Cindy Spaulding put matrimonial preparations on hold for the workshop, and showed the kind of southern hospitality that could endear even the meanest of shepherds.
