Small but powerful describes both Holland and the workshop that was held at the SnowPlanet in Spaarnwoude, June 11-13, 2004. 13 skaters got all the skating they ever wanted, and more.

"I came to the workshop with a challenge for you, to make me faster," said one student, "and I can't believe it but you did it!"

Everybody finished the workshop physically exhausted but mentally pumped. Speaking of pumped, even the most skeptical skaters were able to master some or all of the elements of the double pump, otherwise known as the double push.

Not all skaters were racers coming in to the workshop, but they all left as speed demons with all the tricks of the trade to pull out of the bag when they choose to bump up the speed.

And bump up the speed they did. The concluding team time trial gave everyone a chance to work together as a group. The best part was the finish, which required every skater not just to try to win, but to look good coming over the finish!

TWINCAM, Wigwam, Transpack, Ted, Andre, and Bob Flynn all deserve huge hugs and kudos for making the workshop such a good time.
