Fourth Lacey had already lapped the field, so this finishing sprint was for second place in the 100 lap event. There was a lot of confusion in this finish, because the racers were told before the start that everyone was to finish on the same lap as the winner. So there was a sprint for the line one lap earlier as well. Some skaters stop racing after that, but these two kept it going just in case. Chad won both of the sprints for second place.
