The 2nd annual Tahiti Inline Marathon had everything a skater could want from a race in paradise- sunshine, warm temperatures, native Mooreans out in force, flowers galore, and over 250 crazy French, American, and Tahitian skaters on the road!

The racing was secondary to having a good time, and good times were indeed had by all. Spread all over the course, the locals came out to join the party, cheering with genuine enthusiasm. Flowers were everywhere, especially near the finish line, where a local wild woman was plucking handfulls from the side of the road and then hurling them in the path of the unsuspecting skaters.

The Mooreans put a show at the finish line with drummers and dancers, and there was a ton of local fruit to snarf on. What a skater needed most on a day that was quite hot and humid by races end was water, and there was plenty of that as well!

After rehydrating, nothing to do but enjoy the lush greenery, clear blue water, and delicious local cuisine.
