Fujikyu Skaters' Museum
Click on an image to see it full size with a description.

This museum is worthy of a pilgramage. It's far glitzier than the original skating museum in Hindeloopen, the Netherlands, boasting video, colorful displays, and a life-size statue. Located a stone's throw from the rollicking roller coasters of the Fujikyu amusement park, the museum is a shrine to Fujikyu's home grown hero, Tomomi Okasaki. Okasaki won bronze in the 500m event at the Olympics, setting the country aflame with speedskating fervor.
