 Ay tranquillo! Take it easy! This week American inline skater Eddy Matzger traveled to Sicily to meet up with the Salomon team and make a training video in the shadow of Aetna. "Destination: Speed," produced by Salomon International Team coach Christophe Audoire, also features Pascal Briand, Elisabeth Schrenk, Sebastian Baumgartner, Franck Cardin, Luca Presti and Pier-Davide Romani. What's it like to film in Sicily as a member of an elite team? In the morning you're on the track, cameras rolling as you demonstrate drills. Afternoon finds you plying smooth roads through a rocky landscape, frequently leaping on the roll to grab a succulent blood orange hanging tantalizingly within grasp. Later, you're exploring vestiges of Greek amphitheatres or Roman colliseums or perhaps snaking your way through narrow alleyways in ancient Siracusa. Don't forget that once all the shooting's done you still have to put it all together and then spend days and hours and countless more translating the script into English and then record your voiceover so that it fits exactly over the original French version.
