The Salomon booth was a veritable beehive of activity at the NSGA trade show, July 9-11, 1999, in Chicago, IL. The stunningly visual, multi-paneled presentation of Salomon's 2000 product line drew people in from afar and became the focal meeting point for those who still know how to raise Cain in the inline industry.
Salomon pulled out the stops for its competent and enthusiastic sales force, holding a sales meeting prior to the show to bring its reps up to speed with the innovative new skates, shoes, and protective gear featured within the booth's hallowed space.
The bustling booth seemed at times to be the floor of a busy stock exchange. Head buyers, inline athletes, company bigwigs, industry insiders, trade association representatives, marketing mavens, and influential others graced the booth and its near environs from morning till evening each day and traded excited talk about bright futures and new synergies.
