While most people were puking their guts out at 15,550 feet, Eddy had either too much or too little oxygen in his brain, causing him to go for a skate so the porters and climbers could believe their eyes. Skating in snow was a little tough because it was impossible to see the rocks lurking beneath the surface, ready to send you flying. Miraculously, Eddy managed to keep his feet the whole time, if not his head.
