40 kids from the Tahitian "I have a dream" skating association broke the ice with 30 others from the Raiatean "Utafara" association during a fun skate on Raiatea.

Easy to see why everybody was all smiles. Polynesians are not missing the frolic gene! And hardly a car. Maybe one the whole time. And the kind of scenery that makes you weak in the knees. So many shades of green and blue and road so smooth you want to kiss it (I did).

Juliette got a ride on Christopher's back until she woke up and started skating herself. 4-year old David got into the act too, playing tag up and down the road. The big boys put themselves into formation and got ready for the next day's marathon by training in a paceline. The girls strung it out early and then took it easy on the way back. All in all a great way to kick off 5 days of good times on Salomon skates!
