Part vacation, part boot camp, part entertainment, and part learning, the Eddy Matzger Workshop blew into Chicago, June 8-10, 2001, with the finest weather in weeks. Enthused athletes from near and far shredded urethane vigorously and improved mightily en route.

Those who got a taste of new worlds of speed were so energized as to be jumping out of their skin! The workshop was all about feeling empowered on skates and becoming more self-assured and outgoing as a result. The transformations were astounding!

First came the balance, then the fall. Along came the carve and then with a straight landing and smooth recovery they had it all. When people skated in the tunnel, they had the urge to shout it out! Yeah they sounded good!

The workshop brought it all together. Different strokes and different folks all found their own challenges, and exercised their bodies and minds in equal measure in the process.

Kevin played host to Saturday evening's hilarious video session and made out with some schwag that had him wagging his tail in big sweeping spirals.

TWINCAM bearings, Explore wheels, Salomon palm-sliders, Transpack, Wigwam socks, and Raymond Verdaguer supercharged everybody's skate booty with a bag full of competition-ready gear! Big props all around!
