People were all smiles at the beginning of the marathon. There were some 200 skaters from all over the world plus a half-dozen Tahitian skaters. Directly under the finish banner you can see one Moorean skater wearing a vegetable-matter uniform! He definitely found the most creative use for his race number: a loincloth!
