Aside from a little controversy about another illegitimate National Championship race in the pro men's division, the U.S. 10K Classic went off like a charm on Monday, September 3, 2001, in Atlanta, GA. Few complained about the wet roads when the real burn were the 6 steep hills that make up "The World's Toughest 10K".
Peachtree Road Rollers brightened up the day considerably, as did Team in Training members in their colorful and bold skinsuits.
