A little note from Dan:
Without D and Rose Miles there wouldn't be any races in Northern California, period! I would like to thank them for that for ALL racers! This race series is special because D and Rose are putting it on to benefit me while I recover from my injuries. I cannot thank them enough for all they are doing. I've often thought of skaters everywhere as part of one big 'skater family', because even though we may come from drastically different backgrounds, we have common ground in skating and that brings us together. Dave and Rose have always seemed to be the 'parents' of our Northern California 'clan', and in this unselfish act they are essentially 'taking care of their own'.

I would like to thank everyone who has participated so far, from skating to helping to put on these great events. I would also like to thank everyone from ALL over the globe for their thoughts and prayers (they worked!), and support (emotional, physical and spiritual!). Of course, I would urge all who can, to come out to California and participate in one or more of these events, and not just because it is for a "cause", or because it is one of the best venues anywhere, or because the skaters out here are so friendly, BUT because of all of that!

Never stop rolling! Thanks, Dan

Dan Burger Series #1: RAIN, WIND, SUN - EVERYTHING UNDER THE RAINBOW

Rain, Rain Go Away!!!! This was the theme song of the day in San Mateo, Ca. as the California Outdoor Rollerskating Association presented the Greg Levien 50 Kilometer Memorial Roadskate on April 13th. The event featured some of the worst weather we've had this winter in California. It also featured the most beautiful rainbow many skaters had ever seen.

These participants represent the die-hard sprit of skating. It was quite easy to look out your window and then roll back into the covers feeling confident that no one would be out on Canada Road skating in this weather. However, the rain stopped at 6:45 A.M. exactly as we had planned. Skaters began showing up. When Dan Burger rolled up in Robert's van, everyone knew that the race was on and it was time to get ready to roll. (Taken directly from www.cora.org)

Dan Burger Series #2: OK, this is more like it! The weather was much nicer for the second installment of the Dan Burger Series, and twice as many skaters showed up for the fun. We'll let the pictures tell the story!
